What do you think could have done this lack of oil to the big end?

Well I had rod knock at anything above 3000 RPM! So I had some time today to drop the pan and this is what I found when I took the #4 rod cap off! I havent pulled any others off yet. My guess is that they are just as bad if not worse because I can move the rods side to side. This motor only has maybe 3000 miles on it:banghead:. Pic is a little fuzzy because the cover on my blackberry!

Yea looks like its worn through. Did you plastigauge the bearings during assembly? Maybe your crank is worn so there is too much clearance between the journal and the bearing.

Did you put in a new oil pump when you put it together, and did you prime your pump? I'm thinking oil starvation, or there was metal chips in an oil passage somewhere from machine work that then got in there and messed things up. How many times did you change your oil after the rebuild?

*edit* I also agree with the thought about improper clearance. Does it still have balance shafts?

Yes its a brand new OEM pump from Extreme psi, yeah it was primed before start up. I changed the oil after the first 30 mins of warm up, then again like 50 miles and then at 150 and then again at 300 then last oil change was at 500. Then I started the 2000 miles what I always do! I did find the BS bearing had come out and the JB weld the guy used to keep it in at the bottom of the oil pan.:( So my thoughts are that since it was no longer blocking the hole to much oil was coming out and starving the rods. What do you guys think?

If the balance shaft bearing came out then yes the motor will have lower pressure and cause damage. I'm thinking you need to tear the complete motor down and I'm sure you will find more damage. How/why did he use JB weld on the bs bearing they are pressed in?
