I'm building a 2.3 stroker. I will be running a SC6152 with a T3 .82 AR hotside, with a 100-150 shot of nitrous. I already have pistons, Now I just need a rod. Debating on the Manley rod or the Eagles.

Eagle if your going with H beams, Manley if your going with I beams. I use SCAT H beam rods personally.

Eagles are rated for 650hp and can be had for somewhat cheap....

In that price range for an H-beam, there's little difference between them. I'd go with whichever one you can get the cheapest price on.

Just fyi though I bet if you ask any machinist most will tell you to go with the manleys Vs. the eagles

I've had this discussion over and over with my machinist. Eagle/Manley/Scat all have a very similar design with their H beam rods. The benefit with going with manley is that they weight less than the others. Eagle has excessive weight that they don't shave off. Other than that they are all pritty much rated for the same HP levels and I choose Manley and haven't had a problem. The price is great too:thumb:

If going with a goal of 600hp on h-beam rods, and being so close to their max limit, people have recommended cryo treating them for a little extra stability and piece of mind. Shouldn't be much to have 4 rods done and I would think the extra lead way in the ability to handle that power level would help you rest assured even more.

The Eagle rods are very nice, and are a great price. Even though they are rated very low, they can handle much more than whatever number you want to say. Would I cryo-treat them? Yes.

As for the Manley I-beams, they are very nice as well.

Personally, I would go with a H-beam on a 2.3L stroker, but that is me.
