If I take my head to get it rebuilt, general machine shop questions..

Alright, I hate people touching my car, but I don't know what I am doing when it comes to the head at this point.

Can I just bring it to any machine shop? I am freaked that they will mess up my head, base on multiple negative dsm experiences.

I don't know the history of the head. What if it has been shaved before etc?

I don't trust local folks suggestions, because they all want my shell, !

Any thoughts on what to do?

DO NOT take it to just any machine shop. Ask around who is a reputable machine shop. If one doesn't exist in your area you can always send it out to one of the big DSM vendors and get the work done. If you're not getting anything done that would be considered extreme a GOOD local shop should be just fine.

The place I got my engine machines were American engine guys they said the new nothing about the 4g63 so they called a two guys for me and I talked to both of them and saw there work chose one and I got to say I love the result, So pretty much go talk to your machine shop see if they will do it or recommend someone who specializes in heads

If you can't find a local reputable machine shop to do your head, spend a little bit more on shipping and ship it out to one of the well known machine shops that you can find on this website. You'll pay for shipping but on the other hand, you'll know it's going to be done right.
