SO i've been looking at a slowboy stage 5 head but alot of people to stay away from slowboy(don't know why had nothing but good experience with them). SO its either that or a buschur stage 3 which i dont know if i really need.

Well, what are your goals for the car??? A "stock" head with cams can attain close to 400 hp.......

Best bet is with whomever you decide to go with, make sure you get what you want and stay in communication with the company. Be comfortable with what your getting and who you get it from.

I've never done deals with Slowboy and based on what people say I will never. Don't know about their heads but others parts don't do what they are potentially made for. Some other things to take into consideration about Slowboy is their customer support is not very good, not very timely, and I've heard issues about them not holding up to par with the warranties they state.

So the question is WHICH HEAD . Not which vendor :shhh: , so lets keep on topic . Any supporting vendor would be recomended :thumb: , that is why they support .

so what is the goal ????

All my experiences w/ Slowboy are very positive. I ordered many times, have had lengthy convos, and have gotten follow up calls a few weeks later to see how everything was going and if I was happy.

If that isn't good customer service, I dont know what is.

I've already bought tons of parts off slowboy and they usual arrive at my house in two days with standard shipping, and they are usually very helpful and answer all my questions. I am most likely going to go with their head. I am looking to lay down 450whp with their ported sbr g50.

I'm more then happy with my rebuilt head w/ BC valve springs and HKS 272 cams. If you are dead set on a 'fully built' head, just ensure you use new OEM timing belt components and eliminate the balance shafts. You don't want to lose thousands of dollars you didn't really NEED to spend on sub-par maintenance parts.

I agree, a head with BC 272's and BC springs/retainers will be all you need. People here in the Rockys are running high 10's low 11's with just cams and valve springs. The extra money spent on porting and the machine work for over sized valves could be spent in a lot better places like fuel management and the right turbo.

If you know any machine shops you trust you could just buy the stock valves, BC cams, BC springs, revised lifters and have them assemble it. Would be much cheaper than a stage 5 head from a shop.

I have an sbr-g50 i bought a while back that i will be running, honestly the exhuast side is all junk valves and guides, but how much power do you think i will gain from porting honestly?

Not enough to justify the cost, unless you are down to trying to pick up an extra .1 or .2 in the quarter mile. If this is just a daily driver and not a track whore then I would put the money elsewhere. My experience with Slowboy has been fine also, but it was in person. C.R.A.? what class?

I've recorded 52 lbs/min w/ my UNPORTED stock valve diameter head w/ all oem parts except for Manley single springs and fp2X cams. Considering your goal, I'm really trying to save you some money. . . That you could bank and use on your car at a later date;) . If you need a ported head, then you need way more than a 50-trim. Wait until you wring out your current turbo, then upgrade the head and turbo. Just a suggestion.

Infact, if you're going w/ 272s (perfect for your goal, BTW), then a fresh stock valvetrain will do just fine. Adding your BC springs will be plenty of build.

Minimal at most running your goal. Another turbo and a 3 grand tranny that can handle shifting/power at that level is neccesary.

BTW, I don't see an adjustable FPR to match your 255 lph fuel pump. . .
