This is the first time disassembling a 4g63 for me. I've done honda's and what not but I was curious how long the process usually takes.

Changing pistons and rods from a running motor. I'm driving it to our shop tomorrow morning and starting from that.

That still doesn't say much. Are you pulling the engine or doing it in the car? Are you having any machine work done? It might only take half a day to pull the head and oil pan and swap components. It could take days to weeks doing a thorough job depending on how much work you plan to do/have done and machine shop turn around time.

Do you have all the parts, gaskets, etc on hand?

Since this is your first time on a 4G63, I would suggest paying attention to detail, and try not to concern yourself with how it will take. Concentrate on doing the job well, and making zero mistakes.

A little over half a day leaving the engine in the car and with out any problems. You will have to check the rings and bearings before you put it back together.

All gaskets, parts and whatnot are accounted for. I'm also working with a compressor. But you're right, I should just worry about doing a good job. THX!
