Question

Head Gasket - HELP

What head gasket for my .020 over 4G63 motor??? I have people telling me I would be okay with a stock size head gasket, yet companies like cometic make head gaskets to fit the bore size. Even though it is only .5mm... how much difference could it make? Harmful to use stock size on .020 over motor? I was also informed that it would affect my compression ratio possibly using a stock sized one on my .020 over motor.

I would get the one that is BUILT for your application, think about it you have a whole that is 4in across and yet you cover it with a gasket thats 3 3/4, you are losing alot of usuable surface. So yes you CAN use the stock one but there is no point to. I know the numbers are off but I exagerated just to prove a point, in the end its all about maximzing airflow and the OEM gasket can reduce your ability to move air efficently.
