well, i have a set of fp2 cams in my car.. havent checked timing yet... but.. does any1 else have these cams? and do they lope? i figgered they would?

Mine don't lope like HKS', but it is a bit noticeable. My uncle picked up on it right away without me telling him, anyways.

aahhh.. i didnt know, figured i had something set up wrong

what is your base timing set up? 5? at a idle my a/f is right at 13.7 dont know if that is about right or not

Just installed mine, alot more deep, and at 700-800 rpm, there's a small indication they aren't stock, but it's a pretty solid droning sound.

Mine have begun to lope a little now that I have no cat and a 50 trim turbo, with idle at around 650-700... sound pretty cool.

You can get it to lope by increasing overlap. This will help spool and midrange but take away top end.

My FP2Xs don't sound stock next to a stock car. Open exhaust really lets you hear the difference. It "thumps" harder (at idle) because of the aggresive ramp rates and it idles just fine because of the tight overlap. Unless someone's been around dsms all their life, noone can really tell.

What about BC 272's? Anyone have any experience with those? Just asking cause I'm currently getting a motor built with BC 272's in it. Thanks. Tom.
