I'm in the process of installing my oil squirters, and its hitting the peice that goes over the piston is hitting the crank. Ive had the mains line honed, could that be the problem? Is there anything I can do? Should I leave one washer off?

I think you mean the oil squirters nozzle is hitting the crank, correct? If so, you have a few options.

Oh btw, are you building a stroker?

If its the nozzle you can gently bend them out of the way to clear the pistons/ crank. Be gentle and leave at least 30 thou. clearance minimum between them and the crank.

Another option is to get new squirtes, off some evo. Lol I know I know. They are smaller and don't seem to have the interference problems. Maybe some one else knows the part number, but you can order them at the dealer, etc.

Another option you can do if your building up w/ forged internals would be just to remove the squirters. I did. IIRC, I used a M12x 1.25 short bolt, w/ red loctite and crush washers to ensure no leaks.

Do not leave one washer off. These are crush sealing washers, and are needed to well, seal.

Not building a stroker... I wish :D Next rebuild. But it was hitting the piston and crank... I just gently tap them to bend them out of the way... Seems better... Reusing the washer... is that ok? They seem to clear now... I'm going to take them back out and loctite them
