Alright, recenlty my friend put in a freshly rebuilt 6 bolt longblock into his car, new crank/bearings/etc... When making a left turn with the car, after you've made it and want to change gear, when the clutch is pressed in to do so, it has to be pressed in really deep, or give it a quick pump and it goes back to normal position, this does not always happen though. When changing the clutch out a few weeks ago on teh car, we started turgging at the crank ully to see if there was any play (thinking it was crankwalk)- NONE. What could this be? The motor has a little ovcer 1k miles now. :talon:

Crankwalk will make the pedal drop to the floor on a hard left turn and that doesn't seem to be what you're describing. I'd check the master and slave for leaks and also check the engagement point on the clutch.

Let us know what you find,

Andy

I second that advice. Adjustment on the clutch can be changed by the rod and bolt going to the back of the pedal assembly. Also, a tell tale sign of some leakage would be some on the floor board by your feet. Let us know what you find.

the master and slave are both new, bled too. Stock rubberized line been replaced with a nice stainless steel one.

My 98 is in the shop getting a 6 bolt block in it due to CW. The only sign I had was the clutch would kick in at different spots. When I turned to the left I had no problems. The pressure side of thrust bearing was in the pan when I took it apart. And the crank moved back and forth a 1/4 of an inch. It still seemed to run OK tho but oil pressure was lower then all my friends and vacuum was only 12 at idle. Think the vacuum was more from low compression tho.
