My engine is at shop and still on the fence a bit about piston to wall clearance.I have a FP3065 on order and my JM fab intake is set up for direct port nitrous.
Still not planning on more than 30psi or so and small shot like 50 to maybe 100 tops. And this will be very occasional that the car sees much more than mid twenties for boost and mabye a 50 shot.
So wiseco said .0035 is about right and that their pistons tend to wind up at about .0043 anyway after break in due to some coating or something they use. Couple other guys said even the .003 would be ok.
But would like to hear from actual big turbo nitrous guys what you used on your wisecos.I have a 2.4 if that matters much would think it would be the same and giving the engine normal type street break in at 15 psi.

Cmon guys no big guys on the board can give some more advice on the wisecos and what piston to wall and gaps they are running and any problems at those setting.
I am still for now going ahead on the .0035 setting and top ring around .019 and 2nd likely around .023 or .020/.021 top and .024/.025 2nd.
But would like some actual numbers from you guys that have run simlar setups.

heres the deal w/ nitrous from my experince. piston to wall clearnce should be left the same for any thing under 100 shot and smaller. any over that there needs to be added clearance. the added amount should be like .0015 to .0020

word for word

nitrous over 100hp 4cyl add...... +.002
there it is.

Guy my macinist set my piston to wall at .0035 but I told him still might want to go up to .004.
Any of you have any problems at .004? I won't be spraying past a 100 shot on this motor.I will run 30psi once in awhile on my FP3065.
