Rebuild Checklist...Do I have everything?

Well, Im gonna start putting back the motor together. I just pick up the newly machined head from the shop. I'm looking to replace as many of the gaskets and regular manintenace items as I can so here is my checklist.....

OEM headgasket
Valve cover gasket/spark plug seals
Water outlet gasket
Intake manifold gasket
exhaust manifold gasket
ARP headstuds
Cam seals...(2 are needed correct?)
Half Moon gasket?....but for what? Technical name?
OEM timing belt
T-Belt Tensioner
T-Belt Idler Pulley
Timing belt cover gaskets...which ones? I thought there was only a top and bottom cover
alternator/waterpump belt
balance shaft removal kit
NGK spark plugs
crankshaft seal ...Is this needed?
New waterpump
fuel filter

Is this it? Is there something that I am missing? Ive been trying to search for a good 2 days. Any help or comments would be appreciated.

yes the crank seal is needed. the half moon you are talking about is for the head/valvecover. just get a valve cover gasket kit and it should come with the gasket, plug seals and half moon seals. put some RTV sealant around it to keep it from leaking. What about the oil pump and gasket?

1G-specific What else

If that list is for your 7 bolt 95 DSM, then you will not find a "Water outlet gasket" (I'm assuming that you are talking about the water neck that bolts to the head via 3 8mm studs). -The 7 bolt motors just used RTV... Your 6 bolt does have one though. -Are you using the 2G housing on the 1G 6 bolt? Notice the slight recess on the mating surface? -OE RTV baby!

Why do I know this? -I'm in the process of rebuilding my 94 1G 7 bolt head... Got a deal on a "Complete Gasket Set" for my motor... Guess what.. NO coolant housing gasket!

What was also "missing" in the kit:
1/2 cresent valve cover cam plug
inner & outer TB gaskets (you'll need these)
Injector o-rings and insulators (these too)

IMO, getting a "Complete Kit" was only more of a hinderance then it ever was helpful. Get the stuff seperately and know what to get... While your at it, I'd also recommend replacing the TB shaft seals while you have the TB out of the car. TB shaft o-rings: 1/2x3/8x1/16" No.7 (you need 2 -$.29 ea at OSH)

Hope this helps

"May as well" change the coolant hoses. Pay the $100 to not worry about them for the next 5 years. Radiator hoses, heater hoses, the little hoses on the oil cooler, and of course not to mention the hose that kicked my ass after I had changed all the others -- the coolant overflow bottle hose. Bastard little hose. Changed 'em all but that one and it got me.
