Boost Leak??:/

Hey Guys !
I got my first dsm a couple months ago so i'm fairly new to this...ive searched for answers of forums already but i havent found a similar case to mine. Bottom line...
got a gst with a 16g turbo, on e85 that was tuned by previous owner at 22psi. now out of nowhere on OCASSIONS it will only boost up to about 8psi and wont climb after that:( I havent found a relation to when it does this to when it doesnt yet.
So could a boost leak have that much of a significant change and even at that wouldnt a leak mean that it would do this ALL the time?? Vacuum leak maybe??
Other forums also mentioned injectors but i doubt thats the reason because although mine are big it was previously tuned to compensate for the bigger injectors.
Need some help guys to point me in the right direction. I dont just want to take it to a shop.

I'm also a newbie, but i had a similar problem and it ended up being that my mbc got disconnected somehow. As soon as i hooked it back on, it all went back to normal. But it can also be a boost leak.
