I have my motor apart right now and it's about to go to the machine shop to be bored .02 or .03 over ... not sure which one yet. How strong are the stock 2g rods? I'm going to mostly likely upgrade to JE pistons just because I can get a good deal on a set with rings. I want to run a t3t4 50 trim around 20 psi on pump and 24 -25 on race gas ... should I bother upgrading the rods or should the stockers hold? I'd rather use the money towards cams but if rods need done I guess cams will have to wait ...

Cams don't do you much good when the rods go through the side of your block. 2G rods are weaker than 1G rods. Running a 50 trim at that boost level, I would get a set of Eagle rods. Cheap and smart insurance.
