I just finished bolting my car back together after an intake manifold swap. I am doing a pressure leak test. I have used all new gaskets but I have a bad leak at the top of the throttle body. When I loosened it and looked I can see two small holes at the top of the throttle body and the stock gasket clearly does not cover those holes completely (only partially). It seems very certain that is where the leak is coming from.

I'd appreciate any quick replies as I hope to work on it late tonight and get it back up and running.

NEVER MIND - I think I found the problem - the gasket needs to be rotated 90 degrees. It seems the picture above is WRONG as near as I can tell!

In case this happens to anybody else...

There is a FRONT and BACK side on the lousy gasket. If you turn the gasket around and reorient the tab to where it should be everything lines up. Crazy.

i had trouble with a tb gasket too once. no matter where which way it went it had excess on at least 2 sides of the tb. finally ended up hacking it off with an x-acto knife. not pretty.
