Here are my goals, what do I need to accomplish them?

I will soon be picking up a 1g as a second car and mostly as a track car.
It will be AWD (not sure as to TSi or GSX yet...) and manual.
My goals are 13 flat or better, preferably better :D
What would be the best way to reach my goals?
My first step is going to be suspension and possibly brakes.. Want to make sure I can control the power.
Then after that come the power mods. Any input on what I will need in terms of power mods to hit my goal is appreciated.
BTW.I will also be doing a few light weight mods..pulling sound deadener etc.. This will be a second car and if I really need some creature comforts I have my first car.
 
IMO your question is open to many "suggestions" and suggestions are exactly what they would be. I don't think there is really a best way to reach a certain 1/4 mile time or you would see shops selling things like high 13 second kit, mid 13 second kit, low 13 second kit....ect.. Now that is just my opinion. I can however tell you what my chassis has on it which used to run low 13's (I beleive). I have KYB AGX shocks all the way around, new front and rear sway bars, front and rear strut tower bars, bushings, manual steering rack from a 1.8...ect.. As for your primary engine performance upgrades and such their are so many combinations that I AM NOT the one to give advice on that ;)

As for the engine I was looking for more general things such as what parts will need to be replaced. Obviously:

Turbo
Injectors
Turbo back Exhaust
Clutch

but besides the obvious what else would need to be done? No specific mods..just parts that will need to be replaced
 
I'm likely to miss some things... but I think a few essentials will be the following.

-a good clutch ( probably won't be able to run that quick too many times on stock clutch )
-Good suspension ( you've already addressed that )
-Boost controller ( I'd imagine you'll need at least 17 psi for times such as you are hoping for )
-Boost Guage ( never put a boost controller on without having a boost guage! )
-an egt guage wouldn't hurt
-full 2.5" exhaust
-porting and polishing the 02 housing would also be a good idea.

This *I think* should get you close anywayz.
 
here would be my list. the stock 14b turbo will get you there along with stock 450 injetors

replace=turbo back exhaust w/test pipe
replace=air filterk&N
free=hack your mas
replace=fuel pump and rewire (regulator most likely)
replace=#@%#@%#@%#@% stock boost gauge with aftermarket
helpful=EGT gauge
helpful=afc (help idle issues and available for future turbo/injector upgrades)
helpful=logging equipment www.technomotive.com www.pocketlogger.com
replace=clutch will eventually go (act 2600 is good choice).

replace=i wouldnt worry about o2 right away, will help some though. either port, or tubular (preferable)

as for brakes they do make big brake kits (wildwood kit, baer) http://www.spmotorsports.com/dsmbrakes.html
