I'm trying to install a hard intake pipe with a K&N filter on the stock 1g MAS on my 93 talon tsi and am having some problems. The pipe I'm trying to install is the one from dsmparts, http://www.dsmparts.com/intake_tubes_1g.htm , it's the 2 1/2" 1G MAS Curved Intake Pipe. The problems I'm having are that the wastegate kinda gets in the way and doesn't let me install it securely, and the rubber fittings seem to be too loose to hold on to the turbo well. I'm 99% sure that I'm trying to put it in properly, but I haven't really worked on a DSM before this. Anyone have any tips or instructions? Am I missing something? If anyone has any pics of this pipe installed that'd be a big help too. Thanks!

I have the same one from Dejon Tool and I have yet to resolve this identical problem. My car isnt running yet so I still have some time, but The rubber insert just isnt tight enough around the inlet for the turbo. If you figure something out let me know. You might have to get something thicker to tighten it up around there.

I have the same pipe on my 90 talon and when i saw that same problem what i decided to do was take the old rubber ring out of the stock rubber inlet pipe and use all three fittings to put the pipe on turbo inlet. You will definatly have to fenesse it on there its a real bi***. I also had to take the wastegate accuator off and grind of some of the metal where its in the way of the pipe fittings and clamps. Your also going to have a hell of a time putting the air filter and MAF back on the other end of the pipe when its in place unless you have a K&N. The whole thing barly fits in to the space. If you check my pics i think you can see it in.
