I was wondering how hard it would be to make a custom 3" exhaust.

I know how to weld, and can get good piping pretty cheap, I just dont know if there are any really tight bends or anything to make it extremely hard to do.

If there isanyone who has done it, or knows how to do it, info would be appriciated

Hi,

My buddy I know from school has a Talon TSi AWD ad he runs 11.9@121 mph with a 2.5 inch exhaust that he made with three 4 inch CLR 90 degree bends, one for his downpipe, and two to get around the rear diff. that seems to be working fine for him, and I am going to do the same, but I am going to use 3 inch 304L stainless instead of 2.5 inch.

yep, just wondering where do you get a pipe bender to bend 3" pipe? I have one for small stuff but nothing like that... I supose you could make one...

Ebay has 16 ton pipe benders that come with 3" dies for like $99.00. As soon as I get my taxes filed and get my return I am going to do it.

If you arent afraid to weld, jsut buy some mandrel bent 180s and cut the angle you need out of it and weld the straight pieces in between.
