I recently bought a 90 eclipse for pretty cheap...i decided to take out the engine and put it in my talon until the talon motor is finished (probably 2 years from now) anyway i heard that i have to change all the sensors or it wont work...the block itself is a 91 i have found out, but the intake and all other stuff is the original 90 stuff...do i have to change ALL the sensors or is this even worth my time...ive spent the last 2 weeks doing a mini-rebuild and will be pissed as hell if it wont work...any help would be appreciated

A couple sensors have different plugs, not a huge deal. The ignitor pack for example, and a few other I don't care about enough to remember.:D

I think ill go ahead and stick the 91 intake on so that should help with few of them...another question would be the cam angle sensor...do u know off hand if it is the same or if ill have to change that also?

well its all still intact...i never took of the TPS or any of the egr stuff..but now that you mention it...it would probably be easier to just switch those 3 or 4 things out

You're going to need a 91 throttle body and 91 coil pack. Those are the only things I remember off hand. Oh yeah you will probably have trouble with the shifter as well. Im gong through the shifter problem right now. Its not all that bad.

All 1g knock sensors are the same.

The tranny/shifter is only a problem if you're going to use the 90 transmission in the 91+ car. Otherwise, no problems.

im using my 91 awd tranny so im good there :thumb: so far it looks to be coming together decent....all im waiting on now is the intake to be done getting hot tanked and i should have it on the street first thing next week

**edit**
P.S. thanks for your help guys
