t25 to t28 conversion

Hey I'm looking at buying a Big t28 that needs rebuilt and a bad shaft could i was wondering if I just use the center carriage on my t25 and put the t28's wheels and housings on my t25? or do they use a different shaft?

Here is the clip from the core exchange from AGP Turbo for their BigT28...


"On the less expensive exchange one, we take a good T25 core and throw the entire center section away. No rebuilding going on there. Then we take a brand new CHRA and machine the compressor and turbine housings to fit the larger wheels. Then the end housings are cleaned up and everything is assembled. "

So I guess that partially answers your question....
