I am about to bolt my intake manifold back up using all new gaskets. I need to know if I need to apply any sealant to the manifold or throttle body / ic pipe elbow gaskets or surfaces.

Also, I had to tap my intake for a fitting - do I need to use any kind of thread sealant / lock on the fitting's threads?

Thanks!

The gaskets should be good either way. I didnt use any and I was leak free up to 35psi. I used Hi Temp Copper RTV for my TB to intake mani gasket..with no paper gasket and the same RTV for TB elbow gasket, I was also leak free.

Just make sure the surfaces are clean. You can use a 3m scrub pad and any kind of cleaner.

Good Luck

u can use seal-a-gasket type things for the best seal. just because u cant tell tehre isnt leaks doesnt mean there arnt any. not like its a big difference anyways
