I have a 92 FWD Turbo Talon. Stock turbo for now, FMIC & plumbing, fuel pump, intake, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, etc. HKS Cams soon as well, same time as head swap hopefully. My question is, which head would I use? I want the best I can use with using stock internals in the block. I really dont want to swap the pistons and rods.... Below is a link to the heads I am looking at. Feel free to point me in another direction of a company with built heads....thanks a lot! -dale

Buschur Racing,Forester Racing heads and BJ cylinder head service seems to be the head builders of choice in the DSM community.SBR is also very popular also there are a few reviews of his work in the archives.

here is a quick link to few couple threads Click here

I had my longblock completely built by EAP (www.engintecs.com) out of Chicago. They do exceptional work. In terms of prep they are extremely detail-oriented and do fanatically meticulous. I have ran the engine they built me for about two and a half months with absolutely no complaints. Their porting is top-notch and they use quality components.
Give them a shot. They are also substantially chaper than any of the damous DSM shops around. As far as experience is concerned they are a ton and it goes beyond the DSM world to seriously weird stuff like Porsches, BMWs, Subaru's and American motors. Their customer service was insane and I can honestly say that I have spent more time with one of their people on the phone than my girlfriend in the last 2 years.

The head specs are:

Ported and polished, 5-angle valve job
Bowl and port match to me gaskets
Crower Springs and TI retainers
PEP Stainless 1mm oversize valves (chrome stems)
5 angle valve job
Viton Stem Seals
The obvious stuff (deck, resurface, etc)

I got my lifters and rockers from them and they assmbled the whole
head with cams and camgears. The only thing that was missing was
a valve cover
