Pictures of Dynomax Bullet on Dsm's

Hey Everybody,

I am in the process of designing my exhaust for my 91 gsx and i am almost certain muffler wise i am going to go with a dynomax bullet. I know people say they are loud but that doesn't really brother me. I was just wondering if anybody has and pics of a dynomax bullet on any dsm (especially first gen's) as a muffler? Also i have searched and read up that people say that the dynomax are deep and mellow,which is god but have any of you all with them been stop by the police for being to loud? I plan on running 3" inch cat back and probably a 2.5 inch downpipe, and not car or resonators,thanks in advance

IIRC - the latest issue of Sport Compact Car (SCC) the 1G that is competing in the Ultimate Street car Challange has that muffler (I think). You might want to check that out...

Looks aside, I can tell you that on my already quiet 80 dBA 3" system, the addition of a 14" (I think it is) Bullet muffler was only good for a 1 dB reduction. In other words, not a noticeable reduction without a meter. I would suspect that on a louder system, it might be good good for ~2 dB, but still, why bother with something that makes such little difference? The 3" Magnaflow I have flows better, and is good for a ~6 dB reduction.

Hey Mike,thanks for the respoance. Actually i heard the the dynomax bullets and ultraflow mufflers flow better than some stright pipes, also i know buschur uses them or use to use them on his exhaust systems. As long as the car won't be draw all cops to me loud i really don't even care,also for some reason i like the look of the bullets, i saw one picture of one on a 91 TSI and i loved the way it looked. Thanks anybody else?

With a 3 inch exhaust, no cat, no resonator, and a bullet muffler, you're going to get pulled over.

I have a 3 inch with a bullet and a regular muffler, and I get hassled sometimes.
