hey guys - first off, i did call the company, and their phone dind't work, and neither did their email, so i did try.

so now, for those of you with the tmo chip...
can I find someone with an extra stage 3 chip lying around, and just have it welded into my ecu, and everything that their website says about the stage 3 will work? or do I actually have to get the ecu tuned/worked on or whatever. I was confused about that, because there are many people are selling their chip, but tmo.com isn't accepting anymore ecu's, so am i still able to buy a tmo chip and just weld it myself and have everything work?
thanks
-Ben

1) I wouldn't recommend welding it. You can take your ECU to a COMPETENT electronics shop, and have a socket put in to replace the stock EPROM. I stress COMPETENT, because there are ####sticks out there that say they can do it but have no clue about soldering. Soldering is simple, if you know how. But I have had to repair a few ECUs done by people who claimed to be techs, who managed to just mangle the ECU.

2) Forget TMO, they are no longer servicing the DSM community. Go to http://www.dsmchips.com

ic...i meant soldered, not welded, but anyway, once i get the chip soldered in, is everything going to work? or is it gunna be a waste of money cuz i still need to get the ecu tuned or somthin like that?

To actually answer your question :D :

No, you don't need to get your ECU tuned or anything after putting in the chip. The chip is what contains all of the information for the tune/operation of your car.

Just make sure you pick up a chip that is built for the correct size injectors.

And don't try putting the chip in yourself :)

KPT's link to dsmchips is where you should go to find a good/cheap/NEW chip from "Keydiver". He will be able to help you out.
