ok guys.. here's a list of flow rates and est. hp ratings that i've picked up from other posts and vendors' sites. I there's some conflicting info between trims and flow rates but this may be due to differing factors, one possiblilty being just wrong information gathered from other posts. But if anyone can add to / confirm / deny the following flow rates it would be much appreciated, I feel this list may be able to benefit a lot of us who are considering an expensive turbo upgrade in the future, if we can weed out any incorrect information or myths. Pay special attention to the posted BHP and WHP. They aren't the same as one is brake horsepower and the other is obviously wheel horsepower. Also notice which info is from a vendor and which is from a post. Don't take anything here as gospel. :)

Mitsubishi (info from another post)

16g = 34lb/min
Big 16g = 36lb/min
20g = 44lb/min

Forced Perf. (info from another post)

Big28 = 36lb/min

AGP (info from website)

L1 = 41lb/min (400BHP) T04B comp housing
L1R = 42lb/min (no data available)
L2 = 49lb/min 50 trim (520BHP) choice T04B / T04E
L2R = 54lb/min (550BHP) choice T04B / T04E
L3 = 60lb/min 60-1 (610BHP) T04E comp housing
L3R = 62(65)lb/min (630BHP) T04E comp housing

Extreme Turbo (info from website)

ETA12 = 36lb/min S-trim (360WHP) ETA comp housing
ETA32 = 48lb/min 50 trim (440WHP) ETA comp housing
ETE32 = 48lb/min 50 trim (460WHP) T04E comp housing
ETE42 = 50lb/min 60 trim (500WHP) TO4E comp housing
ETE52 = 55lb/min 60-1 (550WHP) TO4E comp housing

GT30 (ball bearing) turbos (info from another post)

48 trim = 44lbs/min
52 trim = 50lbs/min
56 trim = 55lbs/min
60 trim = 60lbs/min
gt35 trim = 65lbs/min

Garrett (info from another post)

T-28 = 34lb/min (350BHP)
50 trim = 47lb/min (GREEN)
57 trim = 49lb/min
60-1 = 65lb/min (RED)

AGP (From website)

Garret T-28 = 36 lbs/min (360bhp)

This is a new one. May be comparable to the FP Big 28 and Big 16G.

What I want to know is why everyone but me knows the wheel trims of the Red and Green. I've heard a million times that it is the 60-1 and 50-trim respectively. Where did this info come from? As far as I knew nobody at Forced Performance has ever said what wheels are in those turbos.

I'm not sure on that, i got it from another post. Maybe someone took the things apart and reverse engineered them.. who knows :)

That all sounds pretty good. But I have 1 quetsion. Why is the AGP L2R(54lb) rated at 550BHP.
And the Extreme Turbo ETE52(55lb) rated at 550WHP.
What exactly is the dif. between BHP and WHP(I know what WHP is) and I always assumed BHP was the same as HP at the crank. Is this correct? If so, how can the ETE52 make so much more HP at only 1lb. more per minute of airflow? Especially when the AGPs are using GT30 wheels(which we all know are much more efficient than the t3t4 wheels)? Can somebody help me out here?

WHP = Wheel horsepower
HP usually = crank horsepower

Wheel horsepower is usually around 18% less on an AWD DSM. And there is pretty much no way a 55lb compressor will make 550whp on a DSM. It's not impossible but not very likely. Usually DSMs make around 10hp per lb/min and that's too the crank. Take out 18% to get the WHP.

55lb = 451WHP on a DSM if you were asking most reasonable people. It's totally possible to get more since compressor ratings are usually way off but I wouldn't trust anyone selling you a 55lb turbo and saying it's good for 550whp.

This sounds a little different,

On TO4E Compressor housings.
50-trim = 47lbs/min
54-trim = 45lbs/min
57-trim = 49lbs/min
60-trim = 50lbs/min
T-100 = 180lbs/min OMG

The only 60-1 i found was on a TO4B compressor housing.
60-1 = 65lbs/min
62-1 = 70lbs/min

Thought this might help. Got this from a 2002 turbonetics catalog.

I don't want to sound so clueless as to ask this, but what are the compressor flow rates based on? Is that the maximum flow of the wheel?

Also, what boost levels are these measurements usually done at? Obviously some turbos (GT30) are capable of producing much more HP at higher boost than say a B16G?

Would it be safe to say I could get 360 hp out of a b16g at 15 psi and about 550 hp from an l2r at 15 psi?

does anyone know where I could find the compressor maps for these turbos?

No a big 16g will only make that kind of hp unless your running it at high boost.

Same for the l2r. I think you would have to max out the turbo to get that kind of flow.

My 14b flows around 27lbs at 1.3 bar. It would be cooler to see what they flow at a normal pump gas boost level. Then you could estimate street HP.

Instead of what the wheel will flow at 150,000 rpm or however the compressor maps work.

no... really... if anybody has compressor maps for these turbos that would be really cool...:thumb:
