Welp, I'm showing some of the early signs of crankwalk. I lose clutch pressure on left turns (sometimes just regular driving, but too often on left turns). Its a '95 gsx w/ about 100K on it... I did some research on it, and this is what I'm wondering. First, so what if I have crankwalk? The engine is trashed now anyways, no use in rebuilding it since crankwalk returns on like 99% of all crankwalk cases, so whats the harm in driving the car as is? Worst case scenario I bust my crank positioning sensor... will that mess up my entire car? Will I screw up my tranny beyond what a new ACT 2,600 will fix? Should I just go ahead and drive it with the crankwalk until its too bad to drive anymore? As I lose more and more clutch pressure, I'm wondering what the proper procedure is for "clutchless shifting". Not sure of the exact terminology for it... but the shifting when, to my understanding anyways, you just slip it out of gear (any special way of doing this?) and then match driveline rpm's with engine rpm's and shift it into the next gear right? How exactly do I match rpm's? I just don't want to prematurely screw up my tranny.
Now to the fun stuff. When I do get a new engine, what should I do. I was just going to go for a buschur 6 bolt shortblock buildup, but are they even worth it? Should I just get a 6 bolt with some nice components and have a local shop do the building?
I was also considering a 3000gt V6 engine... I figure a buschur stage 3 would be like 3K, so for that $$ I could prolly swap in a 3000gt TT 6 cylinder right? Has this ever been done? What would be the benefits of doing this, if any?
Thanks for your time,
Bryan

mine is sitting in the driveway..i feel your pain! i think the 3000gt tt would be way to heavy. would cost to much for that swap for a factory 320hp engine. i wouldnt try maching the rpms and shifting unless you are getting a new tranny. i was looking into the magnus motorsports 6 bolt..still looking at $3,000+ from there also. they have a nice write-up with everything you need to do the conversion... Magnus Motorsports

yeah I thought about doing magnus as well, but I think for the $$ you get more with the Buschur, buts thats just my opinion. Was that the right procedure for the shifting technique? How do I know what rpms I need to be at before I can slip it back into gear? I've tried doing it a few times... slipping out of gear is no prob, but I always grind it when trying to put it back in. Anybody else have any suggestions... this has probably been beat to death, but I did the search and couldn't find quite what I'm looking for, so sorry if this is repetitive.
Thanks,
Bryan
