I would like to know what the loadest exhaust is for a '97 tsi awd. ........ Ive been looking at the full turbo back 3'' o2 eliminator is this a good buy fo $900.00 ? (all s.s.), if so do I have to have my exhaust manifold ported or maybe a header? Do i have to have a bigger turbo too? Please help im new to this import thing!

Yes it's a good deal. yes you should port you exhaust manifold.

If you meant "loudest" then I'll say this: unless the RnR 3" is a heck of a lot louder than the 2.5" like I have, it's not too loud. And I have no cat, and the SS straight-through muffler.

And no, you don't HAVE to have a bigger turbo. You'll want one, though... :)

ATR is definitely the loudest i've heard. I have Apex'i N-1 turboback. My friend has ATR turboback. He's behind me and i can hear him stomping on it over my loud ass exhaust when i'm stomping on it. That thing is LOUD. downpipe has no cat and no flex section. catback is straight as an arrow.

look how straight this is.

IMHO ATR makes some of the best exhausts I've seen. Their quality and construction is tops. Plus I am pretty sure they make an O2 eliminator (%98 positive). I guarantee you will be satisfied and this will be the last exhaust you will ever buy.

The flex section is there for a reason though. I dont think its a good idea to eliminate it. Is the ATR louder than the buschur racing exhausts.

I have the ATR cat-back and it is louder than any of my freinds DSM's. I love it. :D

What downpipes and cats will fit with the ATR catback? It necks down to connect with the stock cat right? Anyone have any pics of this exhaust on their car?

This doesn't pertain much to sound, but more to your $900 price quote on the 3" exhaust system. I just wanted to point out that you're probably going to want to port your exhaust manifold and turbine housing when going 3", as well as consider an external wastegate. An alternative may be to purchase replacement parts that're already up to spec ... just wanted to toss that out there in case all you HAVE is $900.
