Im buying my catback exhaust on monday and Im having trouble deciding which one to get. Bot systems are 3 inch and tapper down to 2.5 which is what I am looking before because I am using a 2.5 dp. Both exhaust look great and they are both in the same price range, so you can see how Im getting stuck. Im looking for a mellow note from the exhaust, nothing loud. Does anyone have sound clips possibly? Any info or opinions on either exhaust would be appreciated. Thanks in advance bra's:thumb:

Either exhaust would be a good choice. You'll get people to tell you this one or that one but its up to you really. I chose the Apexi N1, and I have no regrets. Its a nice upgrade, good sound, and perfect fit but you'll probably hear the same about the thermal. There are plently of similar threads to be found on this board about similar issues, check them out. :thumb:

N1 cat-back's have hit 520 wheel horsepower. Should be good enough for you.

I had an N1 before and it sounded ok, but to be quite honest, I think a thermal would ber by far your best choice. I think they look better then N1's too. But, it your money bro, get what you feel you'd like more.

I have the n1 catback and n1 downpipe. It sounds nice and low and growly, very happy with the sound.Fit was perfect no problems at all.

Only things I am not that happy with is n1 only comes with the super big ricey 4 inch tip.Might have been nice to get a 3 inch or dual tips although the 4 inch does fit ok in the bumper hole on my 92.Also don't know why they had to have welds where the tip goes on and in the back outside edge of the can.Still not sure if that is rust there already or just the color of the welds or something.I would prefer no visible welds on the muffler and tip.

But again overally the sound is great and another thing I liked is you get a silencer if you decide you want it very very quiet. Its a nice option that so far haven't used. That open n1 just sounds so darn sweet.:D

I think what this is boiling down to is the sound. Ive heard great things about the thermal but some say the n1 is loud and others say its too quiet. I really like the look of both exhausts too. Im leaning toward the thermal though. Please keep the comments coming.

awesome dswilly, someone who has had experience with both. I found thermals for $400 too. Look in the specials section on hahns site.

Most people will say the N1 but the Thermal has a nice tone and isn't to loud. Both are good.
