hmm.. the last 2 days I jumped on it 2x and each time the car did the same thing.. stuttered really bad like the timing was being pulled and then when it took off it was backfiring really bad like i was running lean. Now I was pushing about 20lbs of boost like I normally do on high boost but I never have had any problems.. the only thing I can think of is the weather.. it was 95 degrees here today and 92 yesterday. Could it have that much affect on the car?? I turned down the boost and richened up the fuel mixture and she seems to be ok now but I thought that was wierd..

It might be heatsoaking the intercooler. What gear where you in when it did this??

Plugs?
Fuel Filter? >How old?
Wires?

I SERIOUSLY doubt it's IC heat soak  Not with that BIG GReddy :p

Temperature will make a big difference on how much boost you can run on pump gas. You can't run the same 20lbs that you ran in 40-60 degree weather that you are running in 90plus weather.

As far as heat soak go's....you can still heat soak that thing after continous pulls, but I doubt it after only 2-3 pulls it would be heat soaked. I bet you would be suprised on how hot your intakes temps are larry...even in 60 degree weather, i'm hot. I'm working on some sort of cold air intake as we speak :>

no i havent done any logs of it.. becuase it only has happened a couple times and im not gonna jump on it again with the boost that high on pump gas.. not a good feeling about it

Log the problem. I bet the timing got pulled if nothing else has changed.

Regardless if timing is being pulled, there has to something causing this timing to get pulled. IE if your EGT's are rising fast, thats a good indicator that timing is being pulled.

Cheap plug, but thats the beauty of DSM link...if you are pulling timing by more than 5 degrees, you will get a CEL..there's no need to be logging cause you see it. You will just have to plug in the connection to read for sure what CEL you have. Usually pulling timing means you are running lean which makes sense due to running 20lbs and same settings as your cooler temp's.

Its plugged into the MAS. Thread closed due to expiration date.
