i installed a big 16g on my 2G today and overall it went pretty well and im amazing my car is working after being so apart =P well i took it for a test run for a little bit not boosting, felt good. so i slammed on it and i consistantly hit 25 PSI in 1st and 2nd gear, didnt try for more past 2nd.. it feels insanely faster then my t-25 but 25psi is a lot and im scared! heres my current mods..

b16g turbo
full hard IC piping
255 walbro HP pump
S-AFC
act2100
cone intake
1g BOV

what should i tune the S-afc for i never used one before so i have no idea what to do. my boost gauge is reading perfect vaccum of like 21 and when i boost it goes a steady speed from 0-25 pretty quick but its not like spiking, its steady going there and it looks like it would just keep going if i didnt shift at 7k RPMS. is this safe to boost right now? what should i do

oh and also i have a manual boost controller but i didnt install it its just one of those 15$ brass lookin ones. i figured i would leave the boost stock to be safe but thats not safe!

Did you double check that you put everything back in correctly? It sounds like your wastegate isn't working.

take out the bcs, hook up the manual boost controller and make sure everything is hooked up right.

i didnt get a chance to put in the MBC or anything yet but this morning i had to go somewhere early and on the way it road fine it was still trying to boost to 25 but i just tried not to spool too much. then on the way back i couldnt hit boost at all, like my gauge will read normal vaccum, so then i start going slam on it and it gets to around 0-1 psi and doesnt go up much at all all the way to 7krpms and its slow as hell. you think a pipe came loose or something? what could that be

run a vacum line from your turbo outlet nipple to your wastegate. If your boosting 25PSI your wastegate is stuck closed, or your acuator is done. Then check your compression, my friend did the same thing, blew up his radiator, fried piston rings, warped head, 60 compression across the board.

well it turned out the cotter pin holding the wastegate on popped off and it was just free boosting. i fixed that and put on a MBC and everything is running great now :thumb:

At what RPM should a Big16G with full mods see full boost?Mine is hitting about 12psi at 3500 and full boost at 4000RPM and I cannot find out why?Is it a leak somewhere or what else can cause this?

that is definatly not right, my 50 trim gets full spool at like 3700. do a boost leak test, you probably have a leak somewhere in the system. Its not hard to make a leak tester

Yeah I thought so too..I will tear the car down now and will build each piece and test every coupling at each point to make sure its no leak.

I loosened the c-clamp once and turned the housing of the turbo since it was not correct..then I clamped it down again...Dunno if I could have hurt anything there? Well will take the turbo apart during winter to see....
