Better bearing oiling by grooving seats?

I just picked up a copy of Turbo & Hi Tech Performance. In it there is an article on an SR20DET buildup for a Nissan. One of the buildups they performed was to have Jim Wolf Technology ( Nissan hi-po parts company ) to cut grooves into the seats of the main and rod bearings to provide better oil flow to the bearings. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this being done before and would it be worthwhile for the 4G63T?

I'll see if I can post some pics of the grooves. Its an interresting article and worth a read. :thumb:

Well, I expect for you to be banned, because your post was TOTALLY uncalled for. But the mods here are much nicer than me.

Anyway, if you took the time to read Defiants post and think about it, what he is saying is (without my personal feeling of Jim Wolf being put into this) is that is not a worth while mod on DSM's. DSM's (and SR's for that matter) don't need a mod like this. Under normal circumstances, oiling in the 4g63 at the bearings is very good, so theres no need to waste your time and money on something like this. Think about it for a second, if a 1g stock block can make multiple passes and be daily driven at the HP levels you are currently hearing from some of the guys on the board why would you want to change the formula? The potential added benefit (if any), to me, is not worth the risk.
