running oil lines on 50 trim

I just bought a PTE 50 trim and am wondering how to route the oil feed line. I was told to run it off the oil filter housing. Can I run it from the head (stock location)? Wich side of the filter housing do I tap? nyone have pics? Thanks in advance.

You should be able to run it off the head, I know people who do.

There's a plug on the oil filter housing that you have to torch and take off (they're on there GOOD). I can't remember which one, been a while since I did mine. I'd run it to there, cleaner, cooler supply of oil. Go to a 90 filter housing w/external cooler if you can too.

Do not run that turbo off the head. Under low boost levels 16-18 psi you should be fine for a while. that wheel loves boost and rocks on pump gas. When you move into the 20-25 psi rage you can smoke the thrust bearing in just a few good pulls. Trust me I did it, Ultimately its up to you.

Yeah I'd tap the filter housing to assure ample oil supply.
