I got the kit it was on sale for 899.00 it included all the lower piping and couplers. The install unfortunately will have to wait. Just bought a house the wife has me doing other chores. Plus we have 6" of snow on the ground. Yeah I know I own a GSX but it only gets driven in the nice weather. I can't wait to see how it performs once I get it installed.

Pics of the piping? Is it short route? What size is that core? Looks nice. Good luck. :thumb:

I have the same FMIC and I have no complaints about it. The core measures 24"x9.3"x3.5". This whole time I thought it was only 3" think because it just didnt look it. So today I was doin some stuff on my car and I measured it and holy crap it IS 3.5", which explains why I had to hack the crap outta my bumper. There are some pics of it on my gallery. Its not short route piping but the inlet/outlet are on the same side so makes the routing a little shorter. Overall I think it looks nice. I definately felt a difference in performance, but I also slapped on a ported and clipped Big 16G turbo on at the same time. But its a great kit for more information click here http://www.hahnracecraft.com/hahn/parts/intercool.htm. Also if you have any questions hit me up at AIM= Kingtana1. Have fun putting that thing on BTW. LoL

You had to hack the crap out of the front bumper yet you still got to keep your fog lights? Or do you have them there for looks and not plugged in? Looks great, but wouldn't there be some air that doesnt get cooled at all in that setup? Or is there a divider between the inlet and outlet on that end tank to where air is forced into the IC?

Yea that is whats pretty sweet about the kit. I hacked the crap outta the bumper and I still got to keep my fog lights  They still work and arent there for just some looks, the endtanks of the intercooler are on the same side, one is on the bottom which is the inlet and the outlet is on the top. I dont see why some air wouldnt get cooled, perhaps my wording consufed you, but if you go in my gallery you can see some picks of it with the bumper off and see how the endtanks look. Let me know if you got more questions. Pzzzz

No, no, no; nothing you said confused me. I was wondering about the setup of the IC itself. From looking at it, if the inlet and outlet are contained in one endtank, isn't there a chance air would go directly from the inlet to the outlet without going through the core itself? I think it's a stupid question because I hope HRC is smarter than that. If they are smart, there would be a divider between the inlet and outlet that forces the air coming through the inlet into the fins of the core and around to the outlet. I know this is confusing and wordy and if you dont get it it's understandable. I'll draw a picture...

Assuming HRC is stupid...

Assuming HRC is smart...(red = divider; yellow = flow of air)

umm, jake you see the kinda half a pipe welded to the top of the IC... ;)
understand now? its essentially the same route piping as the greddy kit.

The core actually mounts like this on a 4G63 engine car shown in the pic below. Whether or not it has a divider in the middle im not sure, but I think Hahn has a good sense of what they are doin. They have "the worlds fastest RS" with this core so hmmmm I guess they know their stuff. But if you want to make sure I guess you can always give them a call, and then let me know :D . The piping is similiar to the Greddy although it doesnt have the big front pipe going accross the front of the core which I think is a dumb design on Greddys part.

Ya, I missed the pipe hiding up there. Well, I'm convinced; nice setup man. :thumb:
