hey i went to check my timing (1g) and did everything by the book, that connector on the firwall was ground, and i got no light, just out of curiousity i checked the other wires, 1 and 3 didnt work, 2 and 4 did, now when i UNHOOKED that wire that bypasses the computer all 4 wires would work, everytime i hook that wire up also my car would die down to about 450 rpm, what is going on please help me on this one. oh its alot slower then what everyone tells me it should be also

-With the jumper(firewall) grounded, set the base idle to 750 rpm then check the timing. is your timing light in good condition? regardless wheather you ground the jumper or not, hook the connector to #1, you should get the light.
