after reading about it, it seems to be a nifty device. And for the price of 280, its not expensive either. None of you have any expeirence. At least read about it and post what u think.

"Additionally, an Electronic Idle Stabilizer function (EIDS) function, which buffers the dramatic airflow meter signal fluctuations, prevents the engine stalling or stumbling effect associated with the sudden imbalances in the air/fuel ratio of airflow meter-equipped vehicles that utilize discharge blow-off valves that vent to the atmosphere."

Sounds kinda interesting....

Overall looks like a nice piece of equipment...and for the price I think many people will be using this soon. I would expect some reviews in the near future.

The Super-AFR is junk the whole thing is operated by that large nob on the right hand side. Changing the setting is a pain in the ass because if you have say 5000rpm set at -20 you have to scroll the knob to the right for 5000rpm and because your all the way over to the right when you try and edit it your -20 setting is automatically changed to +35 or something like that because of where the dial is sitting then you have to scoll all the way back and hope you remember where your setting is. It's really really annoying.

The EIDS doesn't do anymore than the SAFC blow off valve function does, it doesn't work. This is not a way to vent your BOV (I don't understand why people are so fixated on this) you still have to re-route. THe AFR is a crappy version of the AFC trust me I have installed and used both on many cars the AFR is junk and I hate tuning it. If you really want to hear a loud noise when you shift get that electronic thingy that simulates a bov noise, it's about a ricy as this constent quest to find ways to vent with stock management.

Stick with the AFC it's easy, proven and much more user friendly.

Good post Jim.

A review by someone who has used it is exactly what we needed.

PS have you ever tried to use an S-AFC 2...that things a pain in the ass with the little knob..I find it almost impossible to push it straight down so then it sends me of to some other menu screen.I find it Frustrating sometimes.

I have used all three of then AFR SAFC and SAFC II . Stick with the SAFC II work much better and easier to use.

Yes I have used the S-AFC2, we have one on my Dads Maxima. It's good because you can store two setting on it which is nice. He runs nitrous so we programed a nitrous setting and a NA setting which is pretty cool. That knob in the center is annoying I have to agree, however it's still better then the AFR is. The operation of the AFR is just stupid, once you use it you would understand how insanly dumb it is. HKS usually makes some pimp shit, this time its just shit.

I change my SAFC setting when I hit the track only because when I run 23psi my car gets richer all around so I have to lean it out more, sometimes I wish I had an safc2 so that I could program two setting at the track. There's a big power difference between 10.8:1 A/F and 11.8:1 A/F when it comes to making power.
