hi everyone, basicly i have a 6 bolt non turbo block and before i start anything with it, i want to make sure that the crankshaft and everything inside, except for the oil squirters, is the same as the turbo block, dont want to find out i screwed up at the very end :( but anyway if anyone can let me no it would be a big help, thanx

I was asking the same kind of questions the other day, the answers that i got were, no squirters higher comp pistons thats it. the pistons suck but that is about it. when you get pistons get ceramic coated ones so that you dont have to worry about not having squirters. the crank and thje rods are the same. so is the head the intake and the size of the tb.

there are some minor differences on the intake manifold, and the throttle body is completely different.
and the pistons don't suck by any means, they are actually pretty damn good for what they are. they are'nt designed for boost they are NT pistons.

well the tb from the 4g63 doesnt look the same but it is the same 60 mm blade, which is all that is important. I never heard of a difference in the intake, and I have both, but the pistons cant take much more then 8 psi. so in my books it is junk, or at least something that you NEED to replace if you wanna go faster.

well basicly its just the non-turbo block, but im putting in everything from the turbo block, rods, pistons, crank, the works... i read that i can do this, but if someone knows its not possible, please leme no asap. thanks again :thumb:

Well if you are going to just put in stock rods and crank from a turbo then you dont need to cause they are the same in both blocks. Good luck!
