I met a guy, can't tell you who or where he is from!

But he upgraded everything on his barnd new EVO 7 (8 miles on odometer), as a result he sold me his 550cc injectors and turbo/02 housing for about $225. This thing is huge compared to my 16g and bigger then HRC Super 16g I have sitting in my house. The guy told me that it would bolt-on to my Eagle Talon, he is a professional mechanic and works for a team that regularly rally races EVO's and other Mistubishi cars. I found that the 2g E. Manifold will not even come close to mounting on this turbo. So he agreed to sell me the EVO 7 E. manny for $30. Is this gonna work at all, or am I looking at false hope.

Nope, nothing is going to fit.

His work fitted it to a 91 eclipse GS-T, my firend came in half-way through the job and doesn't know what they connected the turbo to the engine, however he did connect the 02housing to the downpipe.

the evo manifold should have bolted to your head just fine, but since you have it all in and going enjoy.

I was under the impression that Evo up to 3 is compatible with DSM 4G63, after that engine is in the other side of the car like the Evolution 8...

the engine is different but i believe the alignment of the studs and ports on the head are the same. of course he'd also have to either mount the intake on his driver's side or reverse the turbo. although you could probably swap out the exhaust housing for another mitsubishi housing. and get it to bolt up to the stock manifold and stuff.

the inlet would face that side but i'm assuming that you could rotate the entire turbo 180 degrees. it may not work the absolute best, but it should mount up that way.

If you rotate the turbo, you will be sticking out by quite a bit (probably hitting the radiator) and your 02 housing will be backwards…

In ether case, I would not do this unless is was getting something MUCH, MUCH better, which this turbo is not…

oh i'd never do it leon, but i'm just guessing as to how it might be able to be done. plus i'm not too sure how the compressor outlet points so i don't know what kind of problems you'd have with that either.

me i'll stick with the tried and true parts.

A normal 7cm exhaust housing will not work on an Evo VII turbo. The Evo IV through VIII all spin in the opposite direction from our turbos. The snail of a 7cm housing would attempt to spin the turbine in a direction that will make the turbo blow air out the inlet.

This is intresting, I didn't think of that. I started the car and it idled fine. but the car is having tranny/clutch issues, so I didn't drive it.

I don't think thats air is going to go backwards, before I bolted the turbo on I spun the turbine, and put my face to the compressor outlet. I felt air coming through it. I may have over looked something. I'll look it to it of course, I'll have to pull it off, but I have no life and this will giving me something to do. I'll post again when I get home and take it off, but right now I'M BACK IN THE US!!!!! WOOHOO!!!

Look at a normal TD05H turbine and the Evo TD05H turbine. They are the reverse of eachother. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that you can't swap the two housings.
