What is the differance between the two and which is better?

i think the type-r is more for racing purposes and has a stiffer spring. i'm not sure how they compare because i've only had experience with the Type-S.

the Type R is for ALOT OF BOOST, i have the type S and it sounds really good. thats what i would recomend, or like the hks Rfl

the type S has a little too much sneeze sound (imo)....it works though.

The typeR sounds bad azz! And it works well with my big kahuna turbo. the typeR barely works below 20psi. haha... j/k it's about twice as big as the typeS is though.

The type R is giant and won't even fit in the normal position it has to be mounted elsewhere. Go with the S or another similar size BOV.
