i got an n1 exhaust, k&n fipk, profec b, egt/boost gauge. im about to get a 1g bov and have a custom upper intercooler piping.

what do i get next??? do i have to get a downpipe first or i can save up for the turbo then get a downpipe??? advice anyone??? anyone know what ill run with my current setup???

I agree with nholley, downpipe and hi-flo cat/testpipe, it is cheaper horsepower. Also you might want to port your o2 housing, that way your turbo will be able to breathe better when you put it on.

Which turbo are you going with? FP28? Big 16G?

I don't see where you have upgraded your intake or TB either ..those are some cheaper routes to get some HP. But definately get the dp hiflowcat/testpipe before you get the turbo. Just follow the guide they have here on this site or a host of other sites and you should be fine. That isn't the bible, but typically a turbo will respond better if you have the other supporting mods for it. I personally think a hi flow cat is a waste of money, but thats just me :) You will gain more from a testpipe and save $$ doing so, but it will also cause you to fail emissions.

yes... it does... and since you already have the n1 exhaust.... it'll fit you perfect.... you just might have to live with a cel....

i saw the list before, is there any chance i can skip steps for a bigger turbo, my friend is about to get a wrx and evos are coming out soon. i want to have somethin to show for.

Sure you can, but I would advise against it as you won't be getting the maximum potential of the turbo, then you'll be mad because your still not running all that great. That's why those mod's are listed the way they are. They are "Supporting mod's". You won't be able to really turn up the boost safely unless you have done the required upgrades. Sure, not having a dp isn't that big of a deal as far as how much boost you running, but having alot bigger turbo and no fuel control is a big problem on the hand. Noone can tell you what you can and can't do to your car. I would say as long as you have a larger fuel pump and keep the boost down to 15-16psi, then you should be okay. You have an EGT so you should be able to monitor your temp's. What's going to happen if you try to turn up the boost to much is Fuel Cut. Every car is different, but its typically around the 270'ish WHP that you hit this. Good luck

can anyone recommend a good turbo, there are so many and i really dont know what is good. im hoping to run high 12s low 13s daily driven car. i guess if i know what turbo im getting i can have have a supporting mods for that specific turbo. i just dont want to get somethin now and buy a similar item later.
thanks for all the response so far!

I'd suggest a Big28, L1, L1R, 20g.......

After owning a 16g, I'm just not a fan of them anymore.... They are great to build up the rest of your car (fuel, intercooler, etc).. to hold you over. But if you don't want to do a turbo upgrade twice, I'd suggest a 20g or a AGP hybrid...... but that's just me.

If you are going for low 13's high 12's, your best bet is probably FP28, as it just bolts up to the 2g's. You could go bigger (20g, L2R, etc.) but that would be kinda overkill for the times you are shooting for...plus the supporting mods are gonna cost you more. I'm pretty sure you could hit those times with the T-25, or a little easier with a 14B if you wanted to be cheap, but it sounds like you want a larger turbo. Keep in mind that before you upgrade your turbo you're gonna have to do fuel system upgrades first.

With your current setup you should be in high 13's if you are a decent driver.

No you do not, that's why its easier to go with the FP28 then the 16G on a 2g, it's supposed to be a bolt up affair. I am not sure about the AGP L1R, check out their sites...

www.agpturbo.com - for L1R

www.forcedperformance.net - for FP28

550cc injectors would be nice for either one of these turbos
