Ok so I am building my own downpipe I have ordered a 2.5 inch 90 and a 2.5 inch flex section so my question is on all the pics I have seen of downpipes for 1g awd's they have a slight bend in them towards the end of the downpipe where it conects to the cat. Can I get away with not having this bend I dont want to have to pressbend it and loose flow and that looks like what it will take to get that bend. So what do you think any pics would help.

take it to the local muffler shop. They can put slight bends in it for ya. Without screwing it up to much.

-The slight bend on the pipe after the flex is to have the DP run parallel with the drive shaft, with out this slight bend, your straight pipe will be way off after you have clear the transfer case. you can have a shop bend it or cut an angle and reweld it, the main thing is the flex and the rear section run parallel, it's a small section(12") that weld to the flex at an angle to clear the transfer case. I don't know if it make any sense.
