A/F gauge AND EGT?

hi i was wondering if it would be pointless to have a A/F and an EGT.....the reason I'm wondering is becuz i found a cheap 2g ported mani...tapped for an EGT (is there neway I can tap this?)..or should i just spend the extra and buy the EGT gauge....I'm not planin on running 12 sec or nething...not even planing on changing my ported A/T turbo...please help

if your planning on upping the boost you really should have an EGT regardless.. the air/fuel is also helpful but you dont need both

The only gauge I have is a boost gauge. I also have a datalogger. All gauges are useless except boost and maybe fuel pressure. The ideal way to tune is a logger and wb.

i wouldnt exactly say guages are useless.. they all have their purpose.. like if I had a functional oil pressure gauge my car woulda never eaten itself.. my EGT gauge keeps me from burning anything up, air/fuel helps you to know if the car is running lean/rich etc etc.. not exactly useless

Cars "burn up" because of bad tuning. It's not just going to be fine and all the sudden melt a piston for no reason.

Tune your car with a logger, it's going to hold a tune until you change something. The MAS or standalone/VPC sensors will take care of day to day changes in weather etc. Then when you put a new turbo on or new injectors just bust the logger back out. No need to use an EGT or anything after that.

But I already have a A/F...do u think i should also buy the EGT?....I still haven't got any pod....the dual and trip. doesn't have much of a pirce diff.
