Ok, decided to build a 2.3 stroker. Car will be street driven with some track duty. Currently running a b16g,FMIC,3in exhaust etc. I know the 16g is kinda small for a stroker but that may change as i acquire more cash. What should I have as for supporting mods, SAFC,injectors, afpr what else? What cams would you run?

Thanks

If you can only put on a 16g I would suggest not going the 2.3 route. Its a total waste to do that in my opinion. I would at least, in the very minimum, run a 20g, w/720cc injectors, hard wired 190l fuel pump, and a SFAC with the other mods that you have mentioned.

Get injectors 660+, a Fuel pump, a SAFC, FPR, at least a new clutch (its going to kill your stock clutch), Look into getting a tranny soon.

I'm running a 16g on my stroker, it was on my old engine, before it blew. My 16g can keep up with a car with a 20g, its all in the acceleration. even from a roll that 20g took a while to pass me, he finnaly over took me at about 110. So the 16g isnt a waste of time, just use it until you can get a bigger turbo.

The reason I said its a waste is that the exhaust housing on the 16g is so small its actually choking off the engine w/excess back pressure. The 20g is only barely better.

If you think that is nuts, put one of these equal length manifolds on it too. I've read claims of spooling drops of 400-600rpm. I'll bet a 2.4 with that manifold would spool a 3052 around 3000. OMG http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=84946 So then a 3065 might be the better choice if you dont want to be in the boost all the time. I found a five year old Supra fuel pump in a salvage yard for $100, it's a Denso like the stocker so it bolts right in. Quieter and flows more than the big Walbro 255. The 272 cams will idle close to stock on a 2.4 since the extra displacement requires more air, I've seen one idle at 750 rpm and pass DEQ.
