97 GSX and I want to upgrade the turbo.
The end result after other supporting mods. A potent street fighter and on occasion hit the track. Hopefully a low 13 sec to high 12 sec pass.
My question, is the 16G a good choice for this?
There are many options for the 16G....big, small, ported, clipped
Now XS has the 16G killer. Any opinions on this kit?
Is it supposed to be better than the small, big, etc 16G?
What boost level can be run efficiently on the above?
Thanks

For a GSX, a Big16G is perfect for the job, though the FP BigT28 might be a cheaper alternative for the job. You can go deep into the 12s with the BigT28.
The 16G Killer seems to be an overly expensive (you can buy an AGP turbo for less) and weak alternative to a real 16G according to those that have tried it. An AGP L2R can be had for the price of a new TurboXS 16GKiller... and that's getting into 20G territory for power.

Get the Fp BIG 28, bolt right up like teh stock T25, no installation kit needed. www.forcedperformance.com They say its equal to between the small and big 16g.

The only thing with the Big 28 is that there are not many people that have been able to repeat FPs number at the track. The Big 16G has been proven to go low 12's, 11's even. Shot there is a guy in Iowa that runs 11's with a small 16G.

Wait a minute. The L2R will seriously outpower a 20G. I would like to see a 20G that can support 550bhp. Buschur claims 525bhp(but I doubt that) The HRC S20G claims 500+bhp(once again very doubtfull) Yes Buschur ran a 10sec pass on a 20G. But someone also ran an 11sec pass on an FPBig28. Has anyone else? No.-Can you say factory Freaks?:D

We have a local guy who runs 11.8's on a small 16G, FWIW. Many people have gone low 12's on one. With a good FMIC, the Small 16G
should be good for low 13's easy on pump gas.

As far as supporting mods, they will be done at the same time.
considering:
RRE Downpipe(short so I can install either straight pipe or highflow cat)
N1 exhaust
Ported o2 housing
for the rest, I will run around 14.5lbs of boost until fmic and other things are bought.
Thanks
