gvr4 i/c info

has anyone installed an irc intercooler in a galant vr4? i was interested in the irc street core, emailed them and have yet to hear back. i was mainly concerned about install information... i.e. cutting necessarr? fitment etc. if anyone has any experience with this setup, any info would be appreciated.

and while were at it, i guess i should ask the opinions of the other galant owners out there... which (if any) i/c are you running, how was the install, and have you been happy with the product.

if i cant get any positive info on the irc unit, i think im going to order the griffen/spearco unit from RRE. from what i can tell that should fit no prob. so i guess any comparisons from those with experience with both units would be a plus.

you also might want to check the Bush racing unit for 1 gen, it has the inlet/outlet tubing similar to the gvr-4 one on the left and one on the right, it would be a lot better to install that way.. Check it out

Well I currently still have the stocker I/C on and I have been considering the Starion I/C swap, but I have heard nothing but bad things about it. You have to do welds on the core to get it to match up, so if you are going to pay to have it done its gonna cost too much money (almost as much as RRE unit). I have also heard of people with the Starion I/C experiencing significant pressure drop. I am just gonna get the RRE unit after I finish my exhaust system, might as well just do it right the first time.

BTW, it's $475 for the RRE core, $450 for the piping
