Up until I read about the BR500 and 580 or "PTE" turbo I was planning on using a 20g for my future setup. I thought that the 20g was the biggest that would bolt up to the stock manifold until I read a little on these. Now I am wondering how they compare because the prices on the BR500 and BR580 are quite a bit cheaper than the 20g, can somebody explain this?

BTW, I will have 9:1 pistons so I want a laggy turbo that has a monster top end. Just wanna hear my options before I put on an expensive 20g and realize I want more power. Does anybody have experience with either one?

why you building? especially for those turbos! shoulda got a stock 4g63motor for like 300.

What is wrong with those turbos? If I wanted a stock HP level, I woulda sold my car and bought a stock turbo car. I want to build a motor, I would spend the same amount of money getting to the same goal because I would still need new pistons and hafta bore the cylinders, replace the bearings, buy a turbo, fuel system, cams.... So why not just do it all on the engine I already have. The question was on how those turbos compare, not motor swaps.

I heard that the parts supply for Mitsubishi's turbo went up about 1 year ago and thats why 20gs jumped up a couple hundred bucks.

??

If parts supply went up then wouldn't prices go down? And why did the price of a 20G change only on the Busher site?

I think they raised the price of the BR20G to push the BR500 and BR580.

So again, is their anything wrong with the 500 or 580? Because Buschur's site seems to claim 500+ hp out of both of those. If anybody knows why they wouldn't make an awesome drag turbo I want to know. Thanks.

I meant the cost of parts went up. I thought that was obvious what I meant but sorry.
