How much power can the Automatic take? I have done so far

Jejon tool intake 2 1/2" one
Manual boost riser boost set at 15 PSI
HKS BOV I make my own mounts and everything
Gauges Boost/Pyro/ Fuel Pressuse/Trans Temp
3" downpipe back exhaust
Upper IC pipe
K&N FIPK

My question I guess is how much should I have gained with these parts and how much can my auto take?

Currently the tranny is baffed I am taling it in today to have a look at what can be done. The tranny cooler lines leaked fluid all over my driveway last night so I have to fix that but the trans was going anyways. Does anyone make a shift kit for it? One other question would be those chips that make a claimed 15-25 HP on the talons you see on Ebay do they work?

Thanks very much for everyones input. Im am only starting to learn about my car. I know Diesel engines and turbo diesel's like the back of my hand but I got this car after reading the site so I decided to have some fun.

I have included a pic of my car after I just had it painted. HOK orange!

go to www.dsmtalk.com and check out the auto tranny forum

theres guys running 11's on stock tranny with a shift kit and end clutch

common upgrades are external tranny cooler, end clutch, and shift kit...all of which are not that expensive

check out levelten.com . they sell the best stuff for dsm auto's (argueably). check out its-over.net his car is the shit. its an auto.

I did upgraded valve bodies, level 10 PTS system, as well as the PTS torque converter. I also upgraded the oil pump. Also if you get the auto ecu out of a 2.4 spyder it changes the shift points as well as makes it shift a lot better. level10 is expensive, but the best way to build up your automatic(some will say other).

Are you shitting me?!?! Much love to a fellow DSMer but good God. For the love of humanity, take that shit off your car. But that's just my opinion. Otherwise a great car. :)

That paint is fresh and that eagle is cleared over she ain't coming off, its a personal taste I suppose my truck is also done up similar.

Can you elaborate more on taking a 2.4 spyder auto tranny ecu and replace the stock 2G tranny ecu with it? What were the differences i shift points?

That translab shift kit. What are the bad points with it does it mess anything up with the way the ECU controls the transmission?

I had bad luck with the Translab shift kit. First try with a 98 GSX VB, the car would not shift into 3rd of OD. Second try was with a brand new 97 GSX VB and it shifted great, but would not go into OD. I've done the Alto End clutch upgrade. Easy to do check out www.plymouthlaser.com for the vfaq on how to do both. I also recommend you get B&M Trick shift ATF and an aftermarket tranny cooler..

Anyone curious needs to look at the dsmtalk.com auto tranny forum. Their is some great shit in there. All the questions you might have will have already been answered in there. Shops that run auto dsms into the tens post there.

Also, if one of you has the time to talk to a mod over there, please ask why I was banned. :(

Thanks,
Jake

Well, the ECU doesn't control the transmission. I think you mean TCU. And I don't know, but I would think that there's no change in how the TCU controls the tranny just because of the shift kit. After all, it doesn't even "know" the shift kit is there. Just my guess, though.

Also, in addition to checking out the DSMtalk A/T forum (good call!), I recommend joining the A/T DSM discussion list. Go to at.dsm.org and look for the link.

I second that... Both are great resources for AT info and the AT-DSM guys are really cool and helpful...:thumb:
