I'm looking at the FP3052 which has the wastegate mounted on the turbo. I was just curious if there was a big performance and or tuning difference between having the wastegate on the turbo compared to being on the exhaust manifold.

Thanks:thumb:

Still love that car;) the idea is that by venting all the exhaust gas from all the runners. will allow for better boost control. Some headers have the flange at the collector so it works the same way. Others are attached to just one runner. If your looking at the 52 just go with the housing mounted gate. I think you have to go with a 40MM gate only with that turbo.

o2 mounted gate would be the best option.

Whether its an 02 mounted gate, a manifold mounted gate or even a gate mounted on the turbine housing like the 3052 they all work the same. In my opinion they all work equally well. Gates mounted on a single runner don't sound as cool though. ;)

thanks for the props jdm....i gotta say the same about yours:thumb: . Thanks for the opinions also i plan on getting the 3052. A couple quick questions for you since you're running that turbo, did you order yours with the 90 degree elbow option and what exhaust manifold are you using and where did you get it.

Thanks :thumb:

the manifold is from DNPerformancec.com, and the compressor exits straight down.
