Another Greddy Type-S BOV Question

ok. i searched high and low, and can't find a good answer from more then one person about a BOV. My question is, what all exactly do i need to mount a type-s bov to stock IC piping. To do that do I need the bov, and the flange? Is that all i need, or am i missing pieces. Down the road i will be doing intercooler upgrades, but for right now, wanna start small and work up. And yes, i am re-circulating the air. i at least got the point of that a long, long time ago.

you need to get either the Type S kit specific for 2g dsm (comes with a flange that has a little pipe on the bottom to "rubber hose clamp" it to the stock pipe.

or the best bet is to change the upper ic pipe at the same time. Greddy makes a really nice alumpipe set. Dejon tool makes ic pipes with greddy flanges on them

Not to seem pushy but you would really be better served in the long run by replacing the UICP and the BOV at the same time, both in terms of performance and saving money. If you get the UICP you can fit the BOV to it for the cost of a drilling a couple holes in the flange to fit it – assuming you are going with a “standard” UICP without a custom flange as almost all of them come with a 1g BOV flange. That way you won’t end up with a useless flange (that you’ve already paid for) when you get around to upgrading your upper IC pipe.
