Cheapest way to *somewhar* tune a 2g?

Lets say you can't afford a full standalone system, or even DSMLink -- what would you do to *somewhat* tune a 2g for cheap?

Thought so. My friend with a 2g is just about ready to be tuned. I have a 1g, so I already have my palm/software/cable, he would just need a different cable to tune his, right? (he already has an safc II)

He will need the OBDII pocketlogger to datalog his 2g, it's a good investment for him to get one.

Or, you can go the even cheaper method (though there's much less "tuning" involved) and just buy a logger and an MBC.

Turn up the boost until you knock, then down a little. You're now tuned

Except OBDII doesn't read knock.

I wouldent use anything less than wideband.. you can buy a wideband 02 kit for under $300 and there are few things better at tuning...
