Well i have a 6 bolt block that i have taken apart it had somewhere between 40 and 75K on the engine. I have the block and i cleaned it up
but wanted to hone and clean the block better. I will be using the 1g Big rods and am currently looking for some 2g Pistons to have Mated on the 1g big rods. and my question is since i have never taken an engine to a machine shop before, How much say ball park figure would a good/Fair machine shop charge to 1st, clean prep block, 2nd hone and machine the 1g big rods to accept the 2g pistons? Also if i wanted to have the block bored .20 over where would i find 2g pistons that are .20 ??? how much would those run.? Basically what im trying to accomplish is to build a nice street engine for as little money as possible, due to the fact that i am trying to save most of my money on spending most of it on supporting mods such as 20g turbo , FMIC, exhaust , and so forth...
