I have just got into dsm's, and I have been a hard core VW fan for the last couple of years. I have a turbonetics t04 6-1 hi-fi turbo and I was wondering what exhaust manifold I should I use with that turbo. Also, how does fueling work in these cars? The injectors are huge. What do I need, fuel wise, if I am going to be running this turbo. A bigger fuel pump, injectors, and what else? Thanks

If its a straight T4 you will need a custom tubular manifold. the only cast T4 mani's are completely centered and thus extremely difficult to make a downpipe for. you will then need a o2 sensor housing made. I would say call RNR as he can do both together for fitment.

Its going to spool slow, It woul be much better if it was a t3 turbine side, and even then its slow....

Fuel wise the stock injectors are not huge. Your going to want 720's, which you can buy from Greddy (made by denso). Get those at RRE. You will need a bigger fuel pump like a Walbro 255. After that you will want a new fuel pressure regulator, since thew stock one can't handle the flow and you get high fuel pressure at idle. Thats not a real big problem though and you can do that at your leisure. i have a 255 and stock FPR and my car runs perfectly fine. The fuel lines are all big enough, the fuel rail is plenty big.
